What advantages of the 60 & 80 gb PS3 other then the HDD over the 40 Gb |
Usually in India everyone who had a PS2 or PS1 had it chipped and bought pirated games for their systems. These will not work on the PS3. Original games will work but only if they are of the correct region. That is PAL games will work only on PAL systems
I believe most PS3 games are region free so thats not a problem.
Bluray movies are also region protected so you might not be able to play movies bought from the US on an Indian system.
The only advantage of buying from India is the warranty and probably the convenience of not having to cart it down. Also you could buy movies from India and play them on your system
It'll be cheaper to get it from the US and you can always order movies online and have it shipped to your place. The PS3 is pretty reliable so don't worry too much about the warranty.

This should help you chose what version to get. Remember upgrading the HDD is a piece of cake so don't worry about that.
