I don't believe the fact that brake pads on a brand new car can rust in the stock yard! Its a cock and bull story given by the service guys IMO.
However, all's well as long as it got solved.

However, do let us know if it reoccurs after another 300-400 kms, which, for some strange reason, i think will happen. Don't ask why!
