I think since he has to submit it for a project, Buying stuff off the shelf wont help him at all.
He needs to show that he's designed and made the stuff.

I suggest that you go on the net, there are various sites that will tell you how to fabricate a preformance exhaust with the specs for it.

Also try and use an innovative idea to inprove the intake, like a supercharger.
Easier to manage than a turbo i guess- basicalyy some form of forced induction.

and see what areas you can improve on in terms of timing and ignition.

i sugguest that you first get down all the power charecteristics and data for your Um-modded engine, then as you add each mmod, log down the various changes in data that you get.

What car do you have it in??
