There is one pattern I notice is that Safari owners are selling them in 2-3 year, why?
|
like i said, skumar- most of the safari owners (that i have seen) have wads of cash, and have multiple cars. safaris are usually their choice for long trips, etc.
i have seen people, who own mercs and beemers alongwith safaris.... the reason that some of them sell it off within a short period is that they usually try to suck the living daylights out of the car. and as we all know, the safari (old) was underpowered, and it was not much fun to drive around in heavy traffic. therefore, most owners just buy them to "show off", and then sell it off later....
which is why, finding a clean and properly maintained used safari is a herculean task.....
and this might seem odd- this is for those of you who know the merchant banking firm DSP Merryl Lynch; to my surprise, i found that they had safaris by the dozens, and that the tatas used to be their favourite set of wheels- of course, most were chauffeur driven....but still...i mean, they also have mercs, beemers, accords, etc., but they still used to prefer the tata....
