Hey Steeroid. VW have only launched one version of the Passat with the 2.0 Turbo Petrol engine and this version does not have DSG. I guess the upcoming V6 should have DSG. But yea, even without DSG the Passat was one hell of a car. Even managed to take it on the highway at around 120 kmph and the cabin was so quiet and the car so stable that you could actually sleep in it! Have to hand it to the Europeans...no one can give high speed stability and no one can achieve that fine balance between ride and handling the way they do.
