But i would like to suggest in case the bumber is bent, not cracked, go to a small shop. they will take it off, and then give heat to the interior side and shape it back to place. I recently got my indica bumber done this way. There was a big dent in bumper where plastic had completely bent along with the fender. These guys removed the fender dent, and the bumper dent without touching the paint. Same job at service center = 6000-7000 rs where 2500rs= bumper cost(Body colored) and rest is fenter repair, out of which about 2000 would have gone from my pocket, not to mention the no claim bonus lost! |
Well my zen's bumper was slammed and rammed from behind by a biker who doesn't have a disc brake.. the bumper had developed a big crack and was about to come off.. went to this JC road body shop.. he sewed it together and put in a little heat so that the plastics can be joined for good.. and then painted the whole fron t and rear bumper.. matching with the body color.. Total cost Rs 1200.. (including painting, labor charges). A new bumper (not bodycolor) was supposed to be Rs 800.. that's why I decided for the sewing and heating job.. now nobody can even tell that the rear bumper have undergone this critical operation...
