"Wheels" (weekly auto mag) here reports an attempt to revive a British classic, the Austin Healey 3000, through a concept sports car called the 'Tempest'.
The project is promoted by a Prof. Krish Bhaskar, who the report called "a Monaco based industry analyst who led an unsuccessful bid for MG Rover", while
Top Gear calls him "a car-mad professor who has worked with some of the biggest names in motoring".
The plan includes picking up Peugeot's plant in Coventry, England - which is anyway facing the threat of closure - to build these supercars. According to Mr. Bhaskar, even the base model should be able to do 0-100 kmph in under 5 secs, while high end versions should do 160kmph (100 miles ph) in < 12 secs.
