Default Do we really NEED more horsepower?

I've been asked this question many times - why don't I trade in the TDi and get an RS?

A so called enthusiast like me should revel in the extra 60hp (well, 40hp since I got the Pete's box) and 7,100 rpm redline that 1800cc blown petrol pumps out. I totally agree, I would love that car, and I've made no bones about the fact that money being no object, that would be the car I would buy for myself.

Ultimately though, we do have to live in the real world. And that means facing real world problems like paying for fuel, driving through the hell we call roads and traffic.

They say pictures speak louder than words, so I rest my case for not trading in the TDi on these four photographs below.

1) Total Distance covered

2) Total time taken

3) Average Speed for this trip

4) Average Fuel Economy for this trip
