I took the Panjim-Belgaum-Bijapur-Gulbarga by-pass-Humnabad by-pass- with the guidance/details provided by HVKumar. I can't recollect whether it was a shorter road than the Raichur one. But what I recollect is that the road was excellent ( barring a few kms ), took a night halt at Bijapur and all of us were in praise of Kumar's advise.
