I had the same problem with my brand new 800.

Used to produce that sound only during the first start of the day (cold engine).... Got the timing chain /belt fixed and the packing replaced.

It is all right now.

So it may be the timing belt problem. Anyways dont ignore the sound rush to a mechanic.
