LOL man. I have got fiesta TDCi now and it makes me laugh. Giving a FE of around 22 without AC (very Cold) in city limits. 80% driving in 5th gear. I switch to 5th gear at 55 - 60. once more. |
Whoa !!! 80% driving in 5th gear - and that too which you switch to around 55-60 - aint that almost like driving on a highway.

Back to the point, since your driving habits seem almost like what anybody would term as highway driving - Isnt your figure of 22 kmpl very close to ACI's figure of 22.3
In most indian cities, most of us are stuck in the 2nd or 3rd gear most of the times, so the city average is bound to be much lower.
