My Padmini S1 is a Deluxe BU. So it has the Nissan all-synchromesh gearbox, adjustable bucket seats with backrest-tilt, extendable headrests, seatbelts and pale green tinted glasses. When I took delivery of the new car from the showroom, in Dasara 1995, it was Imperial Maroon color with grey upholstery and grey pile carpeting. The red, white and blue paintwork was done in Feb. 2004.
I was under the impression that all S1s had Nissan componentry. I realize from you that it's only the deluxe models that are so.
