Well, the valet mode allows you to quickly disable the additional features of the Nippon security system, like intruder alert, and impact alert etc, which might be irritating sometimes. So, you can configure your system as reqd (sorry if this jargon sounds IT'ish), and disable these features, and just leave "Remote locking" and some minimal features activated.
I find some features really cool, while some like "Door unlocking on Engine Switch-off" seem a pain. But all these features can be switched off, using the Ignition and the Alarm button (which is installed next to the fog lamp panel).
