A passenger vehicle, like any other machine of that complexity, must be strong, rugged, long-lived, easy and economical to service and maintain and give a good decade of trouble-free service.

If you really want to see which cars make that kind of sense to buy, look at which cars are used by chauffeur-driven rentals, fleet-owners and manufacturer service cars.

The Daewoo Cielo and Nexia have always been great value for money. It was tragic that Daewoo had to fold due to financial and investment-related failures.

Have you heard the phrase, “Eat Your Own Dog Food”?
It is an expression describing the act of a company using its own products for day-to-day operations. A company that eats its own dog food sends customers the message that it considers its own products the best on the market.
This slang was popularized during the dotcom craze
when some companies did not use their own products and thus could “not even eat their own dog food”. An example: At one time, Microsoft that sold its IIS web server under Windows NT, actually used Apache and Linux for the www.microsoft.com website.

I’ve seen bumper stickers in the USA that say, “This is Ford country, where on a quiet night, you can hear a Chevy rust!” Wouldn't it be shameful indeed if Ford used Chevrolets to do the difficult back-breaking work, because their own products would breakdown or be too costly to repair?

Would you buy shoes from a shoemaker who vests his trust in his competitor's shoes?
