Will all the games be compatiable with windows XP professional ?? |
yes all games play on xp-proffessional. But I suggest you go for window media center OS. ITs pretty good to play with and the extra multmedia features will make a perfect home theatre.
Looks like you like alienware very much.

me too. I use alienguise on my compaq and it rocks. look at this
alienware 51 5500
centrino cpu
15.4 wsxga/wuxga/wxga
nvidia geforce 6600 256mb/128mb
around 3 hours of battery life.
If this configuration is fine then looks at the alienware 5500. It has a graphics mode switch. when playing games switch on the nvidia and the games play well. Otherwise switch it to integrated gpu and you can have good battery life.

A basic config costs around $1250 so you can have a pretty much fully loaded laptop with a couple of games, Alienware mp3 player, surround headphones, laptop bag and stuff in $2500.
alienware aurora 7700
dual core amd/ gaming king amd fx-57 and fx-60
nvidia 7800
17inch wuxga screen
5.1 surround built in
raid configs
6-7 kgs to develop your shoulder muscles
stay away from laptops with nvidia 6800 as 7800 has both better bettery life and gaming performance.
also stay away from sentia as you are not interested in mobile performance. these are small and come with integrated graphics which will dissappoint in games.
even Mj-12 doesnt suit your needs as it is developed for multimedia proffessionals for use with quadro graphics.
