IMO low profile tyres and sports tyres r not meant for indian roads. No matter how much i may love the look of it , they dont give a comfortable ride on broken roads and hinder with the suspension eventually .I personally love the look of the eagle f1 goodyears which most of u guys recommend but i dont think its suitable for indian roads, have had alot of frnds complain as suspension problem and poor ride after fitting them. I think its best to be above 55 profile, anything below that can cause problems depending on what car u drive.
As far as the brands go i think Michellin would be my pick for imported tyre company 2nd would be goodyear and 3rd r very own made in india MRF, i have them as the stock tyres on my endeavour and they r doing really well for that mighty car. I was against indian made tyres first thats y the day my accord same i got rid of the stock goodyear made in india tyres and put michellin imported ,but MRF with these tubeless tyres on the endeavour changed my mind about indian made tyres.
