Oyyy!!!! Suddenly i have replies here! Surprise.
Well, Edmund, to answer you question, I've been lazy, my comp is nuerotic

(acually i was originally intending to close this thread down, and restart after i got got my music re-done, once this horrendously lazy/busy sam returns from bangalore)

Anyway, went rushing off to Automech on Monday
Was chatting with Vivek, who was there.
So they started work, all goin well, and i'm poking around, havin a look here & there. Dismanling the original is happening.
Post dismantling, time to fit the header.
Suddenlt the mechanic gets up and says something to Vivek.
Vivek is like " I didnt know baleno's came in different shapes & sizes!!"
Turns out my car some some reason, has a different sump layout (You figure that out!!!!) from all the baleno's they have done previously and the damned header endpipes are touching the sump and the header wont sit!!

So its time to fabricate a new header and bend the pipes in such a way that they will fit. This is gonna take time. a lotta time, but 6thankfully can still be finished in one day.
well there's no use me hanging around while someone elsewhere is doing some welding, so off i go home.
Get cal call in the evening sayit it will be ready soon,
so head back to parel.
Final fitting is being done, i am being nosy, asking all sorts of questions, and being a nuisance!!
Once the fitting is done, its time to start the car.
Hmmm, the sound is exactly like i asked for!! Wow!
Its so muted that at idle you can barely make out

OK, so i love the big sound, but i have driven a car with an awesome exhaust note. Its fine for a while. But drive it for 4 hours and you are hearing exhaust
for 4 hours even afetr you finish your drive.

With that in mind, and the fact that this is my only and regular ride, i'm damn thrilled. You get a nice rumble when you tap the pedal letting you know that something is about to happen.
Then if you acccelerate smoothly its all calm.
BUt floor it and the the free flow announces its existence!
Bursting into song at higher revs.

Then Vivek does a a small wheelspin to demonstrate the real work that it has to do!! Witha big grin on his face!!
