venkatrx - this is a good start but the spares above don't really give an idea of maintenance in my opinion. The parts we should be looking out for are those which are likely to be changed during routine service - such as oil filter (with every oil change), fuel filter etc.

Please don't get me wrong but it is not usual to change the parts listed above during routine maintenance.

Equally important as spare prices would be labour prices. Labour charged by authorised service centres contributes a lot to your bill outside the warranty period. Labour includes the cost of a normal service itself.
