 bought a D50

After a lot of research and help/suggessions from tsk1979, I finally bought my first dSLR - a D50 yesterday. Initially I was in the mood to buy Canon 350D, but when I held it in my hands it felt puny, just didn't have that feel to it; so I went for D50.
I bought it from Pritam Studion, Chandni Chowk, without bill and warranty (scares me but the difference was too much). I got the body for 29K, 1 GB SD card (SanDisk) for 1750, UV filter for 200 and a camera bag for 200. It totals to 31150, add 850 for credit card surcharge; thus the total damages were 32K.
I was browsing the net today and found some links regd refurbished D50s. This is the first electronic gadget I have ever bought without B&W, so a little apprehensive. How's Pritam's reputation, will they sell refurbished ones as new; is there any way to tell a used one from a new one???
I am new to photography and learning. Will upload some of my shots this week-end.
