Even if the architecture is same a lot of other things could differ. Like- camshaft & valve timings, ecu, compression ratio, cylinder head, pistons, crankshaft and basically almost all the engine internals.

It could be based on the same architecture because EVO engine is 1997cc and Cedia is 1999cc. It doesn't mean they share the same internals.
