The sensor is activated when the vehicle starts and if there is no signal from front sensors for 30 sec the unit is turned off. To turn it on you will need to go to reverse gear or an additional switch should be installed. After turning on when the vehicle is not in reverse the front sensors work.

I did not prefer an additional switch as my dash has already many switches.
