maybe because the tweeter and woofer only need Lp and HP sections the midrange needs both so they made they divided the XO this way. If you were biamping youd just bypass the LP section of the XO.

.. I can forgive an iron core inductor (given the space constraints of a car) but polyester caps are not big there should be no need for ANY electrolytics on a speaker of this class/budget and the resistors aren't that hot either.
