Smile Bangalore to Goa

Hi Knightrider,

If you have the days free with you, I suggest you drive in the day time rather than night time. In the night truck drivers are the kings and maniacs too.

This is the route you can choose to drive on, and the route is pretty cool too.
Bangalore - Tumkur - Chitadurga - Haveri - Hubli - Karwar - Margao - Panaji - Calangute

Donot take the hubli - Panaji route via Anmod Ghats that take you via mollem - Ponda to Goa please, that route is in a horrible state. Going at a speed of around 50 - 60 kmph average, you should be able to finish the 730 kilometers stretch to Calangute in around 13 - 14 hours.

Petrol bunks are plenty on the way, only ensure that you fuel yourself when the tank reaches half. Secondly between Hubli and Karwar I am not sure of the refueeling bunks .. so fuel up before going this way.

I dont advice driving in the night because 1. traffic is going to be a nightmare with blaring lights on you. 2. If you are driving with AC, the heat should not be a problem, and roads well visible.

Most of the road till Hubli is 2 x 2 which means its a one way zoom. You have plenty of dabba's on the way to stop, but I advice to stop at Kamat Upachar houses, they are one of the best, a little expensive but quite good.

Have a great trip!!! Ask me if you need more details.
