just before hubli you take a left that leads to ankola, its also called the yellapur road.....it leads to karwar.
start early, have lunch in hubli, hit karwar by about 3 then head for goa from there. the traffic within goa is a bit heavy. you should be in calangute by about 6 in the evening. it takes me about 12 hours with all the stops for food and gas (i normally fill from the reliance bunk just before hubli) to get there from bangalore. many claim to do it faster though.
