Ooops... forgive my typo ram. I meant it was one of the only ford cars from England at that time to not have been commercially available in the USA.
I remember this because in all the series of Hitchhiker's Guide, this certain character's first name (Ford) was always used, but rarely his last name (Prefect). It was because the humour was lost on the American readers.
