He's got details of the work done on the car here: http://www.dutchglobetrotters.nl/omb...ndroverpag.htm I can read dutch so managed to get a little more out of this site.

1. He replaced the fuel pump and injectors because of some emission related problem

2. The electricals were in really bad shape because of a fire! so he used the colour code in the Land Rover manuals to figure out how to re-wire it. He made some modifications to add more batteries (needed to power extra stuff like a fridge). Most of the wiring in the rear portion was replaced apparently.

3. The bodywork is partly aluminium and partly steel, so there was some corrosion and stuff. He got some help from a restoration guy for replacement parts and scoured the whole body with a steel brush fixed to a powerdrill. Once cleaned and finished he painted it in the original shade

4. The car came with 3 externally mounted jerrycans, plus he fitted an extra fuel tank under the front passenger seat so total fuel capacity = 150 liters. He estimates he can go 1000 km without refuelling.

5. He got new BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tyres for 46 euro each from a sponsor (the actual price is 160 euro per tyre) plus two of the original tyres as spares. The seats are from an Opel.

6. Other spares he carried: injectors and piping, brake pads, oil and fuel filters, headlamps and tail lamps, and lots more. He needed to replace the fuel pump, brake master cylinder, injectors, fuel pump and dynamo.
