Guys,
After seeing the San Storm, the Palio felt like a C CLass, if not an S. Me and dippy were keen to make the most of the afternoon, and unleash a 100 Italian horses on teh worli seaface. Butttttttttttttt....
The Palio has been out of production since 2002 now, and the only pieces that have been sold are obviously old stock. Imagine this, Fiat would have not built more than a couple of 1.6's per month and it has taken them more than two years to sell them!! What a disgrace for such an amazing car. Indian small car buyers really need to be educated on the pros and cons of an automobile, but then do they? The Palio does offer class-leading space, ride quality, handling and power but the rate is faster than a concorde from London to NY! The after-sales service is horrible to say the least (atleast from what I have seen at two dealers in Bbay).
In India, as in most parts of the world, a car is the second largest investment one makes after a house. As such, I dont see too many people investing in a product of a very troubled company.
Sad news, Team-BHP is going to miss the Palio 1.6 GTX - Indias only true hot hatch!
