Skoda is owned by Volkwagon and I believe Octavia shares the same platform with Golf and Zetta. Passat has lots of similarities with Octavia.

If they start importing cars from China, they have to pay more taxes to the Indian government and finally have to sell the car for more than double it's actual value.
