Look, if you are only aiming for a couple of drag runs, chassis flex is not that great an issue. Granted, it will flex. But just a couple of runs will not affect your daily driveability, since there is no question of the latter.
I doubt the availibility of good engine in HYD. If you give us an idea of your budget, there are people here who can offer you opinions and options.
