Awesome review, mobike. You've covered it all. You've also got a fantastic deal from the dealer. I was a little desperate to buy my car so didn't get as good a deal as you did.
I recently did a long journey to Goa and back. Did a total of 2300 km in all. The car was rock steady on the Pune Bangalore expressway, which I did for barely 100 km. I was consistently above 100kmph. Touched 130 at one point, but didn't want to push the rpm above 3000.
The rock steady nature of the car was a pleasant discovery, because I've driven the petrol version of the Accent in the US, and it sucked bigtime in handling on the freeways.
I guess the engine weight and the luggage in the trunk contributed to the Viva's stability.
You've written everything spot on about the car. I just wanted to tip you off on the headlight adjustment. I've found that in the city, you need to keep the headlight at 3, which is the lowest dip. The guy at the dealership tells you to keep it at 0, which is the exact opposite.
Also, to get more illumination from your high beam on the highway try keeping the beam adjustment at 0 and then switch on the high beam. I don't know if there's any connection there, but I've found no need to switch bulbs. The high beam does a fantastic job at this setting.
Thanks for the excellent review and enjoy your driving.
