you dont need to worry about how to get the sound inside the cabin as the bass can travel through the seats etc. my suggestion is that you can try positioning it where you get the best out of your sub. in my car the subs are placed facing the bootlid. i tried different placements but this was the best placement in my case (hyundai Accent CRDI). i dont know about the placement of bass tubes though. BTW what type of sub encl are you talking about and let me know the specs as im planning to install a powered sub in my other car.
