Hello from another car enthusiast! My love of cars stems from my early childhood, a good part of which was spent holding a light bulb for my dad and lying underneath an 1961 VW Beetle with a mind of its own. I still remember that its brakes never used to work, nor would the side indicators! But my love story with cars grew from then on....
I spent a considerable part of my childhood and growing up years in the UK, although the cars we owned were nothing much to write home about (an orange Mazda 323, a VW Polo and a Honda Accord-all from the early 80's).
Driving is one of my passions and there's nothing more exhilarating than a long drive, on a good road, in a good car. I currently own an Alto LXi, but I have had the engine tuned to make the most out of it (but it still churns out a measly 46bhp!). I always think that a good driver can make more out of a bad car than a bad driver in a good car. My dad's car (which I drive as often as he lets me) is a 1.6 Fiat Sienna 2001 model.
My other huge passion is travelling, which is good because it compliments the above.
I will be honest here & say that my technical knowledge with regards to the inner mechanical workings of a car are very limited. But this I try to compensate with enthusiasm & slightly better knowledge of cars and their handling.
All this would probably sound normal and mundane to all of you here. The reason why all this gets me 'raised eyebrows' can be attributed to my being a female!
I'm delighted to be part of this group of like minded people and !-- D(["mb","\n
