We hear of some or the other upgradation in Diesel engine technology.

First it was crdi,now crdi VGT and I am told shortly we will have CRDI VGT+ VTEC[basically variable valve timing for diesels too].But what about petrol engines after the i-VTEC[intelligent]/VVTi/VANOS...etc what are the latest innovations on the petrol front[any manufacturer any part of the world].
