High power bulbs blow due to these reasons
1. Fake Bulbs : This affects philips since its the most common bulb, so buy from a reliable shop.
2. High low together : Many cars let you use high low beams together, by pulling the stalk towards you when on low beam. For 60/55W it is okay, for 100/90W you can blow a bulb.
3. Alternator fault : Is your alternator giving over voltage. Check at the headlamp terminals. Disconnect the bulb, switch on and then put a voltmeter, should not go above 12.5 or so, but this is usually not the cause, happens in extreme cases as most bulbs have slight overvoltage tolerance built in, if they are of good quality
