That is not a fair comparison.
1) The issue here isnt that the national anthem wasnt sung. The issue is that the singing of the national anthem was cancelled because foreign employees would feel 'uncomfortable'.
Even if the national anthem was sung I dont see how it can make any person uncomfortable. Look at Formula One, at the podium the national anthem of the winning drivers and contructors is played and all the drivers take their caps off and stand straight as a mark of respect. You never see any of the drivers feeling uncomfortable or not showing respect.
2) Mr Narayana Murthy isnt an ordinary man. Besides founding one of the biggest companies in India, he is also being considered to be the next President of the country and thus his every move will be watched closely.
