My take on this is: Probably Nissan is thinking to build a brand image which could of a luxuries brand.. Then the agreement with Suzuki did not go well so it took time for them to go and get Renault and Mahindra with them.. Now the time they get some brand image (Though I did not see them getting any here), they would be able to bring out small cars with the help of other 2.
