Is there a big difference in response between the V2 Turbo and the Indigo/ Marina, which use the same engine (but deliver about 2ps more at optimum rpm)?

I recall finding the Marina more than a tad sluggish off the blocks, when I was test driving it for a friend. He bought one at a great price from Concorde in dec'05, and has had no problems so far. We easily touched 130kmph on the highway a few months ago.
