There is no way the engine should have failed that quickly. 26k is really no mileage for that to happen if the car was given proper service and was in good health.
I kno for a fact that I abuse my Xing's engine way more than most people. But there are no signs of any damages like you stated. I kno cause I had the whole engine checked due to a recent accident.
I'm guessing GTO's right that you ended up with a lemon.
