Hi,
Please check the AC pulley is rotating freely. It can also be a case that bearings of the AC system which are connected by different belt are damaged or not rotating freely. If this is the problem normally there is more noise. For checking this you need to remove the belt which is connected to AC stuff and rotate and check it. If the bearings or some thing is wrong with AC, this will require more power from the engine to rotate at low speeds, which gets the engine to heat up. Correct me if I am wrong.
