The Air Intake Temp sensor is basically a thermistor. The resistance of the coil changes as the temp. increases or decreases. This device mentioned below for 999 is simply a fixed value resistor which always tells the ECU that the air intake temp is 15-20 deg. due to which the fuel injected is higher resulting in the 5% increase in Power.
