I have used potenza g3's of size 165/60/r13 on a Santro which i later learned is a wrong upsize.. great handling but pretty harsh ride.. i would NOT suggest.. i think 165/65/r13 would be the best all rounder.. as far as alloys are concerned, my first set of tybe less tyres was on the original steel rims, didnt have much trouble in the begining, but eventually when rim started rusting tyre pressure dropped quite often.. i dont know if this was just in my case or its normal..i guess the original rims bend also easily if they take a hit, that also maybe causes leakage of air since there is no tybe in the tyre.. alloys would be stronger.. correct me if i'm wrong guys..
