As to the thud, i was told that the amps are to old. Actually they are roughly between 10-15 years. Sound is very clear... just the thump. I've actually brought those amps from my previous car and even then the "thump" was there. That sound comes from both the amps... i guess i really have to test it out properly.. but to what i recall, before i got the XO, that sound was still there... sigh...

what Head Unit do you use? this usually happens with the pioneer HU. i had both the problems which were sorted out later.
