Sorry to spoil the party, but I remember reading somwhere that if Zinc and Phosohorous levels in the oil is less than 0.10%, Boron will not have much good effect, unless used in larger quantities, which will ruin filters.
Since API recommended that API-CJ4(Latest diesel) and API-SM(Latest petrol) oils have much lower levels of Zinc and Phosphorous, all you may be doing is waste.
One option is to fill in API-SL or lower standard cheap motor oil to reap benefits of Boron, but API SL oil contains enough boron already.
Boron may be a lubricant, but you will need to change your oil filters more often.
