Voted for car, as somebody pointed out, for reasons of practicality (in Indian road conditions) and cost. It would take more time to get from point A to point B in an SUV, given the heavy traffic and narrow roads that we normally encounter. You could get stuck in traffic jams in an SUV, whereas a small car may squeeze through. Parking space is a serious problem for SUVs on narrow crowded roads. I definitely will not be able to park an SUV on the street that I park my Santro in every week next to my apartment in Mumbai; often there is only one parking slot available on the entire road and my Santro squeezes in with very small clearance in front and back. Large families may prefer an SUV, if they can afford to buy and maintain it. |
