Huh! what gave you that idea mate? FYI, a turbo intercooled indica with 4 people on board and loads of luggage and AC set to speed 3 in peak hot summer easily runs at 130kmph without "pedal to the metal" and without feeling breathless. The engine nicely chugs at 2800 rpm at this stage on 5th gear, much below the redline. So there.
P.S. : And this is something that was not tested for a brief period or a few kms. We ran at that speed for 100s of kms continuously on smooth tarmac when the car was so smooth that two people at the back slept peacefully for more than 2 hours. Search and read my Goa travelogue.
