DATE: 30th of September 2012
VENUE: AEMAN SAW MILL GROUNDS, OPPOSITE MOUNTAIN VIEW SCHOOL, CHICKMAGALORE

Itinerary
29th September 1500hrs closing of online registration,
30th September 0800 hrs closing of Formal registration
0800-0930 – Drivers briefing and Scrutiny
0830-0930 - Breakfast
0930-1000 – Demo run by organizers to warm up
1030-1230 – Leg one
1230-1300 – packet lunch
1330-1530 – Leg two
1600- event ends
followed by light music and snacks
1700- Results and prize distribution
1800 party closes
Participation Fee Rs5000 per vehicle. ( with driver and navigator ), PLUS RS. 300 FOR ONE DAY FMSCI LICENCE.

The Competitor vehicles will have to qualify for the following criteria.

SCRUTINY

1)All 4WDs will be scrutinized
2) Seat belts and helmets (driver & navigator)


3) Towing attachments at front and rear.

4) Tyres in good condition preferably MT tyres
5) First Aid Kit - i.e. Minimum OEM supplied kits from any car.

6) Mandatory Spares.

7) All equipment and Kit must be fastened/secured to the body or chassis. i.e. Hi-Lift Jacks, Tow Cables, Jerry Cans, Tool Kits.

8) All loose items must be stored under the driver & co-passengers seat and co-passenger's foot well, to prevent items flying out, or hitting either participant, or distracting the driver.

9) All Recovery Gear (Winch Cables & Tow Straps must be rolled/folded) When not being used.

Mandatory Documents.
i) Registration Certificate for the Competing Vehicle 3-Copies
ii) Insurance Certificate 3-Copies
iii) Pollution Under Control 3-Copies
iv) Driver's License (Driver/Navigator) 3-Copies.

NOTE: Vehicles which fail to pass scrutiny will not be allowed to compete in the event. No refunds will be given.

Rules & Regulations:
Only 25 entries on first cum first basis shall be entertained.
Only two person per vehicle shall be allowed with driver compulsory wearing helment and seatbelt..
If the Navigator in on the vehicle even he shall be fully quipped with Helmet and seatbelt. If the Navigator is just assisting on the route without getting into the vehicle, he shall be exempted from wearing helmet. As the whole track is walk able and visible the navigator need not have to be seated in the vehicle during the stages and obstacles. The navigator has to be equipped with gloves full time to handle recovery rope and winch.
The recovery process during the competition shall only be from the rear end of the vehicle motion. All the recovery handling expect handling the winch remote and driving the tractor shall be done by the respective navigator.
Only three attempts to clear the hurdles shall be permitted, exceeding this shall be allotted zero points for that particular obstacle.

Track condition:
1. The leg one shall be only obstacles with fixed time given from the organizers which shall be common for all. It has to be cleared within the desired time to attain the points, trying to clear the obstacle in hurry and well within the specified time carries no additional points, as the competitor has full liberty to take the time allotted for each obstacle.
2. Yellow flag post indicates the start of the obstacle with the front wheel crossing it, while the orange post indicate the finish of the obstacle with the rear wheel crossing it. Any vehicle stuck within the the two and unable to move out shall be allotted zero points, any way they can carry further after being fully recovered to the next obstacle. Only rear winching shall be entertained during the competition.
3. The starting order shall vary for leg one and leg two, as there shall be two different shuffle for the starters.
4. The leg one shall be point based, while the leg two shall be time based.
5. For the Ladies Class, the lady driver can opt for a male navigator who can assist during the event and navigate.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Trophies shall be given along with the certificates to the winners, with the vouchers or the products if at all given by the sponsors.
2. Points shall be allotted to the winners and finishers as per the FMSCI format as the event is run under them.
3. The overall championship apart from the individual rounds shall be honored for only winners and runners ( with the highest points accumulator from all the three rounds ) in the individual class with the freebies from the sponsors.
4. Person having got the highest points shall be the leader, however the penalty points in terms of time shall be added to the existing points, the time penalties added shall be the difference with the fastest timing clocked. Accumulation of both shall be declared the winner.

Hi Viji this looks like a great event and Including an SUV class is a great idea! Appreciate it very much. There are more and more SUV owners that are modifying their vehicles for Offroad use and I am glad that you are holding such events to encourage SUV owners further.


I'm interested in participating, have a few questions:
1. If I don't make the first round can I still participate in the second round?
2. What are the essential spares that you are mentioning as mandatory?
3. Will a snorkel be required?

1.Hi Vishnu yes you can participate in second round and third round also,
2.Nothing for your Endy, its only for jeeps.
3.Not required its only 30" water crossing.
