Modesty is thy virtue, Sharath.
At every stage of the write-up it is pretty obvious.

But the catch here being, if you accept it, ou lose it.

Thanks for the wonderful write-up and pics. I sure love this thread.

@ Samurai San: You had me on the edge of my seat all through the write up. Lived the entire event and the action through your eyes! Thank you for the wonderful report.

I was waiting for this Samurai. Wonderful report and excellent pictures. Off-Topic: One question, all these shots are with your 50-200?

Obviously not, 80% of the shots are from 14-54. Meanwhile, I am awaiting the arrival of my 12-60mm, rated one of the finest lenses ever.

OTRs are quite regional, you need to be in touch with your local offroaders. Since you are in Mumbai, get in touch with these guys: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/4x4-of...ason-08-a.html

Watch this section of the forum for new threads where events are announced. You could also join Yahoo groups such as "jeep_thrills" or "SuZuki_Gypsy-India". There is always something happening nearby.

Does radial tyres versus regular mm550 shod tyres make a difference?

No mention of the wonderful mutton curry we had for dinner.
Looking at all these photos i wish Mr Sudhir Kashyap had let me come for the event.Too bad his mind decided to say NO at the last moment.

Actually he is kidding. That restaurant actually served the worst mutton dishes imaginable, and I had ordered 3 different ones. Finally chicken curry ordered by Zahed saved the night.

However, the lunch on Sunday at East West made up for the Friday disaster. They had some excellent mutton curry and keemas.

Well like we all shared a laugh about it later.the more a person wants something, chances are it would''nt be as good as he expects.

Btw just wondering, did the GV scrape out the bottom while you returned from the estate?saw 2 scrape marks on the mud.

thanx for the pics and details...
a lot of successfull offroading depends on the tyres, and i guess a lot of guys wouldnt have needed those winches if they were runninn on geolanders or somethin than regular nylon tires.
