Why no NCR/Delhi? OTRs?

Is it lack of venues?
I disagree. We have the Sambhar lake salt flats
So what could it be.
Hardly any off-roaders?
Well we have 3 4x4 safari's and a multitude of jeepers in Delhi itself, besides one mountain goat, the GV
So what can it be?
I really hope that a full family OTR event happens in Delhi. The weather is getting better. So I am really wondering how will a Delhi OTR event materialize?

The Delhi Jeepers do have the occasional one AFAIK. Just that a Team BHP one has never been initiated or materialized.

NCR has very very active jeepers. Just that they are not on T-BHP. In fact there was a NCR OTR on 12th Oct itself.

Tanveer, they have it regularly up there. If you recall, couple of members of North India Offroading Club participated in Coorg OTR in July. It's in my report.

Not sure if you fancy Jaipur (again?) but something is cooking there on November 8 / 9. This would be an excellent opportunity to meet the legendary UBS and other off-roaders in the region.

That would be fun. If permitted, maybe the non jeepers/suv's ones can also tag along the off roaders for support, click pictures, carry water bottles, etc..

i think t-bhp is a nice forum to get together and organise OTR in NCR/Delhi.

As GD said its 320kms.
If you start at 5am from Gurgaon, its 3 hours away, if you stuck at delhi border night truck traffic, it can be 8 hours while coming back.
But great picnic spot for soft roaders, and cars alike.

Yeah, NCR people do have an active OTR group: NorthernIndiaoffroadclub, the North Indian chapter of jeepthrills.
They have one or two OTR almost every month and has a good bunch of jeeps ranging from Ford GPW to Mahindra Legend. The OTR trail is somewhere around Gurgaon.
And regarding the event at Jaipur, on 9th November there is a jeep rally only for Willys and GPWs, organized by Rajputana jeep club. Jeep legend UBS Sir will also be present there as Judge.
