This can be a great opportunity to find funding for a big OTR event.

Suggestion, never look for funding the event. they will dictate terms on brand of vehicle, oil, gas etc. Keep the OTRs full stream with no strings attached.

You are right, but the quantum of funding i am talking about was not that high and not from companies in the auto/petroleum indus.

Some basic funding for a technical support team, refreshments, entertainment etc which will help the companies funding to advertise indirectly. Say a Red Bull or an Coke etc.

This will help in making more people aware of the sport in my opinion.

If you are talking of a Maruti or a BP being involved then yes all the issues you are referring to will pop up for sure. Events of this scale could be taken up once the sport becomes more popular.

Just my bit, am sure you, pdev, xtreme power, khan_sultan, DKG and all other OTR Gurus have better insight on the subject.

well you'll will be staying in lonaval, which is a tourist hill station
safe area, so should not be a problem and also just about 15 mins drive to the otr spot,
totally think we should make this happen
