Default Oh that green devil!!

The green 540 looks drool worthy. You dont see this car-like paint quality in these older jeeps often. What was it then?
Is it good quality of paint or just a better painting technique?

I am probably going to Harishchandragad next weekend if that does not pan out i am game for Rajmachi!
1. Could you put in a few coordinates from Google Earth of your trail? Say start end and mid? The ones you have mentioned - Panshet, Lavasa and Harischandragad.

2. I am new to off-roading (the intentional ones i.e!) - but I did try that famous Rajmachi mound which has been picturised for the nth time in this and other threads. I've put in my 2p worth of pics too - we went on the week days 10th and 18th July so that would be straddling the time-frame when the Team BHP outing took place.

3. How good is Google Earth for a kind of 'photo-recce' of 4x4 trials? Do you/have you used it?

Pdev,

Waiting for pictures and log. I understand from bikers who were there on Rajmachi that Land cruiser's wheel came off. Toyota FJ was crawling with no driver in it on an incline.

Eager to hear the stories.

@dwaraka,

you have right information, we have done it couple of times, leaving the vehilce and let it go by its own and speacially with FJ you have to see the vehicle performing. its a wild bull.. too much of power.

new LC had a flat tyer but Ankur is another person who has bought the car to take it to the max level so he was back on track after changing the tyer.

kaiser which got stuck and it took one and half hours to take it out. and later on we were about to topple the car.

Had a 1952 jeep which lost traction and got very close to valley and got stuck, that place was so bad even mudzillaz didnt get traction, we had to use winch to get both the vehicles out.

out of 27 cars only 3 gypsies could make it to the toughest climb.

frankly speaking i have seen more than i remember. pics will follow soon.

It was a wonderful weekend. Lots of vehicles and lots of fun. Good to meet a few BHPians in person too. Lots of gypsies, some stock and some customised for offroading. The FJ was fully customised for the trail and so was a white jeep in the pics.. Maxxis mudzillas et al..
Overall, the weather too was good, not too much rain, but a wet slippery trail on some sections.

The Safari performed well and lived up to my expectations proving yet again that it is quite capable offroad, only to be let down by stock tires. Though it was quite enjoyable.

Heres some pics from my end. Ive got some good video too which I will upload later.
